The EIR will serve as a key advisor and mentor to our cohort of early-stage founders, bringing deep expertise in sustainable business models and impact-driven innovation. As a core member of the Lab, the EIR will provide consistent, hands-on support to participating startups, acting as a trusted strategic advisor and connecting them with relevant networks and resources. The role also includes advising the internal Lab team on programme development and delivery, ensuring content and support structures meet the needs of high-potential ventures committed to environmental and/or social impact. The Lab runs an intensive 5-month programme combining targeted content, expert mentoring, and network building, concluding in a Demo Day where cohort companies present their businesses to an audience of aligned investors and ecosystem leaders. Key Responsibilities: Participate in, and provide input into, company vetting and selection alongside the Lab\βs team and Investment Committee Leverage your personal network to identify, and facilitate introductions to potential guest speakers, including subject matter experts, early-stage investors, and successful entrepreneurs Driving strategic planning and milestone management for the cohort companies Leading weekly meetings with cohort companies for regular updates Attend each formal in-person weeks for the duration of each of the cohort\βs programming Provide regular feedback to Lab internal team to socialise findings from any company one-on-one meetings and provide guidance on updates to planned curriculum Offer guidance on fundraising strategy, investor research, term sheet negotiation, and capital planning Mentor founders on operational scaling, leadership development, and sustainable growth strategies In addition, from time to time, EIRs may be asked to provide support to the Lab\βs portfolio companies in areas where the EIR has subject matter expertise or prior relevant experience Candidate Profile: Proven experience as a founder, co-founder, or senior leader in a startup Track record of scaling startups, raising investment, and solving key business challenges Experience advising companies working on sustainability-related solutions (environmental, climate, or social impact) Proven background in mentoring or coaching early-stage sustainability-focused startups Ability to commit equivalent of 2 full days per week during cohort session (September to February) Why This Role?
