Responsibilities
- Support strategic planning processes by providing insightful financial analysis that contributes directly to the organisation’s five‑year growth plan.
- Collaborate closely with the CFO, Chief Client Officer, investors, and other members of the C‑Suite to deliver robust financial modelling and performance reporting.
- Assist with pre‑deal analysis for potential acquisitions by reviewing vendor data, stress‑testing assumptions, and assessing strategic fit without being responsible for deal origination.
- Prepare detailed cash‑flow models and balance sheet analyses that inform key decision‑making across both business‑as‑usual operations and M&A activity.
- Provide critical support during post‑merger integration phases by preparing data for CRM system ingestion and working alongside wider integration stakeholders.
- Deliver analytical solutions for complex “big data” challenges that arise from both commercial finance partnering and M&A support functions.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant with strong technical grounding in FP&A principles including balance sheet management, profit & loss understanding, cash‑flow modelling, and advanced financial modelling capabilities.
- Ideally 3–4 years’ experience post‑graduation with at least two years spent in a business partnering or FP&A‑type role, demonstrating adaptability across multiple functions.
- Background more commercially focused rather than exclusively audit‑based; practical experience flexing between BAU finance tasks and supporting M&A activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that enable effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels, including CFOs, C‑Suite executives, investors, and external advisors.
- Pragmatic, curious about new challenges, able to quickly grasp complex concepts, and integrates well within existing teams thanks to a positive attitude.
- Proven experience preparing data for system integrations (e.g., CRM platforms) during post‑merger phases or similar transformation projects.
