Job Description

A leading global investment bank is looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to support a major data initiative focused on IT Asset and Configuration Management. This role involves aligning business data requirements across global teams with enterprise architecture-particularly around the ServiceNow CMDB/AMDB platform.

Data Business Analyst - IT Asset & Configuration Data

Global Investment Bank | Contract | £400-£500/day Location: Glasgow (Hybrid - 3 days onsite/week)Contract Length: [Insert Duration, e.g., 6 months]

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and document data requirements from business and IT stakeholders.

  • Analyse data lineage, dependencies, and discrepancies across systems.

  • Work closely with data architects to assess and validate technical solutions.

  • Act as a key liaison for data consumers and producers across ServiceNow CMDB/AMDB.

  • Support governance activities, documentation, and change control tracking.

  • Coordinate with global teams to drive delivery of project milestones.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years as a Data or Business Analyst in enterprise environments.

  • Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, and IT Asset Management.

  • 2+ years' experience with ServiceNow, including CMDB/AMDB understanding.

  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.

  • Experience conducting data lineage and architecture analysis.

  • Understanding of infrastructure and IT inventory systems.

Soft Skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Desirable (Not Essential)
