Role details
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director to join a growing and ambitious organisation.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take full ownership of the finance function, providing both hands on financial management and strategic commercial leadership.
You will lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, reporting and compliance, while partnering with senior stakeholders to drive performance, profitability and growth.
The role will also play a key part in shaping business strategy, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring strong financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring high standards of financial control and reporting.
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and board reporting.
- Develop and implement the financial strategy in line with company objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Manage cashflow, working capital, banking relationships, and funding requirements.
- Provide commercial analysis and insight to support key business decisions.
- Partner with operational and departmental leaders to drive profitability and performance.
- Lead the annual audit process and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Support strategic projects, acquisitions, investments, and business transformation initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and financial controls.
