What you'll do
As a Junior Compliance Officer based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Risk and Compliance Department's mission to uphold rigorous standards across client onboarding activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around:
- Conducting due diligence checks
- Managing risk assessments

Carry out comprehensive client and matter onboarding processes in strict accordance with established Policies, Controls and Procedures (PCPs), ensuring all steps are completed accurately and efficiently. Conduct thorough Client Due Diligence (CDD) checks, meticulously completing relevant sections of client and matter risk assessments using a risk-based approach to identify potential concerns. Identify higher-risk matters promptly and ensure Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) measures are applied appropriately to safeguard the organisation's interests. Undertake detailed screening checks including conflicts, sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and adverse media, while supporting ongoing monitoring activities to maintain compliance standards. Liaise effectively with legal teams to obtain and review onboarding information, ensuring matters progress smoothly and in full compliance with internal requirements. Manage onboarding requests received through the shared inbox, responding professionally and escalating issues when necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
