Our client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank, is seeking an Engagement Manager to join their Group Strategy team in London. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, this is a key role with the opportunity to lead a broad range of high-impact strategic initiatives, helping to shape the bank's long-term direction. You will play a pivotal role in defining investment strategy and financial planning for the next 5 to 10 years, partnering with senior stakeholders to address critical business challenges and growth opportunities across the global organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic projects and assess long-term business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Strategy to improve strategic planning.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on market, industry, and competitor analysis.
  • Act as a trusted partner to business leaders across the globe.
  • Track progress against KPIs and communicate insights across departments.

Skillset and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading high-impact strategy engagements either at a top-tier strategy consultancy (e.g. MBB, Oliver Wyman, Strategy&) or within the corporate strategy function of a major bank.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, including banking, investment banking, private banking, or wealth management.
  • Strong ability to identify and assess critical strategic opportunities, challenges, and trends with significant business impact.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence, manage, and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels, including MDs and C-Suite executives.
  • Expertise in leveraging data to develop actionable, results-oriented strategies that drive business outcomes.
