Data Privacy AVP based in London. 6 month contract paying up to £340 a day PAYE. This role sits within the EMEA Compliance function of a global financial services organisation operating across multiple international markets. The Compliance function oversees adherence to applicable laws, regulations and internal standards across the region. The main purpose is to support the EMEA data privacy team and regional Data Protection Officers (DPOs) on data privacy, protection and cross-border data movement matters, particularly in the context of globalisation, offshoring and outsourcing initiatives. The role provides practical, risk-based advice to the business and supports the delivery of the regional data privacy compliance programme.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide clear, pragmatic data privacy advice to business stakeholders, including Business Process Owners.
- Advise on, review and support data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), transfer risk assessments and cross-border data movement assessments using a risk-based approach.
- Identify data privacy risks in business activities and advise on mitigation strategies in coordination with global privacy teams.
- Support the development and ongoing operation of the EMEA Data Privacy and Protection Compliance Programme.
- Assist with core programme activities, including DPIA reviews, privacy notices.
