CIO (Interim) (Infra/ Azure migration) - Financial Services

We are seeking an interim, strategic and hands‑on technology leader to guide the direction of change and IT operations across the business. The role will focus on maintaining a reliable technology environment, elevating service delivery, ensuring business continuity, compliance, and strengthening the organisation\’s security and resilience posture.

About the role:

The Infrastructure Lead will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Infrastructure team, ensuring the stability, resilience, and performance of the organisation\’s IT environment. This role will play a pivotal part in managing network, service desk, workplace technology, and cloud migration initiatives (Azure), while ensuring that business continuity (BCP), operational controls, and cyber remediation activities are effectively executed.

What you\’ll do:

• Lead the Infrastructure and ADM teams, covering network, service desk, workplace, Azure cloud, and application operations.
• Lead the evolution of IT operations and service delivery, ensuring excellence and reliability
• Review and optimise service frameworks and performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs)
• Manage third‑party vendors and ensure strong value and compliance
• Provide steady leadership and maintaining continuity across business operations
• Work closely with the executive team to align technology priorities with business goals

What we\’re looking for:

• Proven track record leading enterprise‑scale IT operations or transformation programmes
• Strong grasp of IT service management, cybersecurity, and vendor governance
• Collaborative leader with the ability to balance strategic direction and hands‑on delivery
• Solid experience working within financial services with strong global exposure is essential to the role
• Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory
