I'm looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team within a fast growing and evolving business. The role will be based on a major Manufacturing facility, and you'll be involved in maintaining and improving lifting equipment, responding to breakdowns, and supporting installation and improvement projects.

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 6 off, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including sensors, limit switches, motors, and brakes.
  • Carry out mechanical tasks such as replacing bearings, wheels, and ropes.
  • Support installation and improvement projects.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and site procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Time-served Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 3 with a minimum of 3 years' on-site experience.
  • Electrical fault-finding skills; basic PLC/Inverter knowledge advantageous.
  • Comfortable working at height and physically capable.
  • Familiarity with safe systems of work (Risk Assessments, Permits, Isolations).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with cranes or other lifting equipment (training provided if not).
  • Bench fitting and welding skills.
