I am delighted to be partnered with a professional services firm based in Manchester City Centre in their search for a Financial Analyst to join their award winning FP&A Team. This role will play a crucial part in their financial planning and analysis, helping to drive strategic decisions by providing key insights into our performance, with a specific focus on schemes.
Key Duties:
- Build intermediate to advanced financial models from the ground up to support scenario and sensitivity analysis for various financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare accurate financial forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with regional analysts.
- Analyse monthly actuals against budgets and forecasts.
- Develop a deep understanding of key drivers, such as volume, rate & mix and customer economics, to provide clear explanations for variances.
- Gain an understanding of contractual obligations with schemes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate current reporting processes.
- Demonstrate an openness to new ideas and a willingness to implement process changes that increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Accurately reconcile scheme volumes to ensure precise invoicing of schemes and proper accrual of associated fees and incentives.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant
- A fundamental understanding of core financial concepts, including P&L and balance sheets and accrual accounting.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and manipulate large datasets.
