A well established packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Die Cut Supervisor to lead area operations within a fast paced production environment in Blackburn. This is a key supervisory position with responsibility for safety, quality, output and people leadership across die cutting operations, offering a hands on role for a technically capable supervisor who thrives on the shop floor.

The Role

Reporting into Production Management, you'll oversee the safe and efficient running of die cutting machines, ensuring production targets, quality standards and performance expectations are consistently achieved. You'll take ownership of shift activity, coordinate labour and materials, and act as the first point of escalation for machine, quality and people related issues.

Working hours: Days (Mon-Fri) - 7:30 - 15:30

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day die cutting operations to meet production plans
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and housekeeping standards
  • Monitor quality output and resolve defects or non-conformances
  • Lead, motivate and manage machine operators and setters on shift
  • Allocate labour, manage breaks and coordinate changeovers
  • Support fault finding and problem solving on die cut machinery
  • Drive efficiency, waste reduction and continuous improvement
  • Manage shift handovers, reporting and operational KPIs

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience supervising die cutting or similar converting machinery
  • Background within packaging, print or FMCG manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, quality and safety standards
  • A visible, hands on leader comfortable managing performance on the shop floor
  • Ability to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and keep operations moving
