I am currently seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to be instrumental in advancing my client’s approach to managing its data. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve reviewing incidents related to data quality, collaborating with stakeholders from various departments to gather insights for robust documentation, and supporting complex projects that require careful alignment with regulatory standards.

What will you be doing?

  • Reviewing data quality incidents across the organisation and supporting root cause analysis where data is impacted, ensuring issues are identified and addressed effectively.
  • Communicating confidently and effectively with multiple stakeholders to quickly understand technology and commercial concepts, gathering information to assist with comprehensive data governance documentation.
  • Contributing to complex projects by providing support where needed, helping orientate initiatives towards delivering maximum business benefit while adhering strictly to data governance, protection, and management principles.
  • Representing the data governance team across analytical groups and business areas, offering advice and support on UK GDPR compliance, data integrity, quality, and privacy matters.

What will you need?

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements including UK GDPR, PECR, BCBS239 as well as awareness of emerging trends impacting the industry.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences using active listening skills during interviews or stakeholder discussions.
  • Experience extracting critical information by questioning stakeholders thoughtfully and applying active listening techniques for thorough understanding.
  • Solid understanding of Data Quality principles including identification of issues, root cause analysis methodologies, and remediation planning.
