Our client based in Staffordshire is in need of a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their team. The role is paying up to £45,000 (DOE) and is fully office based.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all financial information is delivered on time for internal review.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant data, analysing trends, and collaborating with other departments to ensure comprehensive financial planning.
  • Support the Financial Controller by providing insightful analysis on variances between actuals and budgeted figures, helping to inform strategic decision-making across the business.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards at all times.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes by identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing best practices within the Sales Finance team.
  • Liaise with auditors during annual audits by preparing required documentation and responding promptly to queries, supporting a smooth audit process.
  • Produce regular reports for senior management that clearly communicate key financial metrics, risks, and opportunities in an accessible format.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different teams to share knowledge, resolve issues, and foster a culture of co-operation within the finance function.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met consistently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism in every aspect of your work.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience from previous positions where you have managed month-end processes, contributed meaningfully to budgeting cycles, and provided valuable insights through variance analysis.
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or significant progress towards one is highly desirable for this position.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build positive relationships across teams while fostering collaboration within the finance department.
