Part-Qualified Management Accountant in Basingstoke

Our client based in Staffordshire is in need of a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their team. The role is paying up to £45,000 (DOE) and is fully office based.

What you'll do:

• As a Management Accountant based at the Stafford headquarters, you will play an integral role within the Sales Finance team.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing detailed management accounts, supporting budgeting activities, and delivering insightful variance analysis that informs business decisions.
• You will work closely with a recently promoted Financial Controller, providing dependable support while also having the autonomy to manage your own workload.
• Your ability to maintain accurate records, produce clear reports for senior management, and collaborate effectively with colleagues will be crucial to your success.

• Prepare monthly management accounts with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all financial information is delivered on time for internal review.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant data, analysing trends, and collaborating with other departments to ensure comprehensive financial planning.
• Support the Financial Controller by providing insightful analysis on variances between actuals and budgeted figures, helping to inform strategic decision-making across the business.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards at all times.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes by identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing best practices within the Sales Finance team.
• Liaise with auditors during annual audits by preparing required documentation and responding promptly to queries, supporting a smooth audit process.
• Produce regular reports for senior management that clearly communicate key financial metrics, risks, and opportunities in an accessible format.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different teams to share knowledge, resolve issues, and foster a culture of co-operation within the finance function.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
