A leading organisation in North Warwickshire is seeking an Operations Finance Business Partner to join its operations finance team, supporting a complex and fast-moving supply chain environment. You will play a critical part in translating financial data into actionable insight, enabling informed decision-making and delivery of supply chain objectives. Working closely with operational leaders, including the Head of Operations and warehouse leadership, you will develop a deep understanding of employment costs and productivity. Alongside this, you will partner with the wider finance teams to take ownership of performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting across designated areas of the supply chain. You will provide clear visibility of cost drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities, ensuring financial performance is understood, challenged, and continuously improved.

Responsibilities of the Operations Finance Business Partner:

  • Partner closely with the Head of Operations and warehouse leadership to develop an understanding of employment costs and productivity, providing insight and challenge to support cost control, efficiency improvements, and informed decision-making.
  • Enable successful achievement of key goals and targets within the supply chain strategy by providing insightful financial analysis and business support.
  • Deliver clear insight into current performance, emerging trends, and their impact on profit and loss, KPIs, and cash flow within the supply chain network.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in supply chain areas, proposing potential solutions to optimise business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, systems, and reporting packs for supply chain operations.
  • Take ownership of the rolling forecast process for designated areas within the supply chain, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Complete month-end processes and management reporting for supply chain activities, maintaining high standards of detail and reliability.
  • Drive collaboration by developing strong relationships within finance teams and stakeholder groups to foster a communal approach to problem-solving.
  • Investigate variances in performance data, supporting corrective action where necessary and constructively challenging underperformance.
  • Prepare suitable presentation materials for results, forecasts, and insights to senior leadership teams and management groups.
  • Provide commercial and analytical support for projects, process changes, investment appraisals, including post-investment reviews.
