A leading Global Investment Bank is seeking a Transformation AI & Automation Lead Executive Director to spearhead the delivery of AI and automation capabilities across the bank. This role offers you the opportunity to shape and execute strategic initiatives that will enhance customer delivery, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage on an enterprise-wide scale.
The ideal candidate will be a strong Transformation & Change expert with AI Implementation experience. To excel as a Transformation AI & Automation Lead Executive Director, you will bring extensive experience leading transformative programmes powered by advanced technologies within financial services. Your background should include deep knowledge of banking operations alongside an appreciation for regulatory considerations unique to this sector.
You possess a thorough understanding of artificial intelligence concepts such as machine learning or NLP without needing direct coding skills, enabling you to communicate effectively with technical experts while focusing on strategic outcomes. Your proven ability in programme management means you can juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clarity around priorities. Stakeholder engagement is second nature; you know how to build consensus among executives as well as operational staff through empathetic communication.
Key experience required:
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale artificial intelligence-enabled transformation programmes within financial services environments over several years.
- Deep understanding of banking operations including customer delivery models as well as familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing financial institutions.
- Conversant in artificial intelligence concepts such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), automation technologies including generative AI or agentic AI, without requiring hands-on coding expertise.
- Extensive experience in programme management encompassing oversight of multiple concurrent workstreams within complex organisations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities demonstrated through influencing senior executives as well as engaging operational or technical staff effectively.
