Role Purpose
The AI Service Designer is responsible for designing end-to-end services that leverage data, AI, and automation to improve outcomes for consumers and market participants. The role focuses on understanding user and organisational needs, shaping AI-enabled services, and ensuring solutions are usable, ethical, and aligned to Ofgem's Responsible AI and Digital strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of AI-enabled services from discovery through to live, ensuring they meet user needs and business outcomes.
- Map current and future service journeys, identifying opportunities to embed AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct user research and translate insights into service designs, prototypes, and design artefacts.
- Identify where AI can improve service efficiency, quality, or customer experience.
- Work with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to embed AI solutions into operational services.
- Embed Responsible AI principles including fairness, transparency, and accountability into service design.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and support agile delivery.
- Define service performance metrics and continuously improve services using data and feedback.
