An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a leading international business on a 12 month fixed-term contract, supporting finance operations across the EMEA region. This role offers the chance to join a fast paced, collaborative finance team responsible for processing high volumes of transactions across multiple entities. You'll gain exposure to a large multinational environment while playing a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.

Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities

  • Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain supplier accounts and resolve invoice, payment and account queries
  • Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox and action requests within agreed timescales
  • Review and validate purchase orders and supporting documentation
  • Assist with weekly payment runs and supplier payment processing
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain vendor records
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support month end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth invoice processing and approvals
  • Assist with reporting requirements and ad hoc finance projects as required

Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements

  • Previous experience within Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger
  • Comfortable working in a high volume transactional environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of accounting transactions and finance processes
  • Experience working with multi-currency transactions would be beneficial
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • SAP experience would be highly advantageous
  • Previous experience within an FMCG, retail, manufacturing or similarly fast paced business environment
