Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President - Credit Manager for the Energy Sector. This is an exceptional opportunity to make your mark in one of the world's leading financial groups, where your voice will be heard, and your actions will count.

What you’ll do:

  • Play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Heads and General Managers to develop and maintain a sound portfolio within the credit appetite of the EMEA region.
  • Assess the credit of obligors in specific sectors/regions and make recommendations on borrower ratings and transactions.
  • Review credit applications received and make recommendations to senior management on transaction-specific files.
  • Monitor the portfolio actively in line with internal policies and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Make balanced, timely and thoughtful credit decisions within the firm’s risk appetite.
  • Engage proactively with front line on deal specific and/or strategic developments through guidance, direction, feedback.
  • Support strategic initiatives within CIB Credit for EMEA.
  • Develop knowledge of various types of industries, sectors, countries, players within Energy Sectors.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience in a global banking environment, corporate banking or investment banking institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit and risk principles, products and management.
  • Strong analytical skills enable you to identify key issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal which allow you to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly sets you apart.
  • Experience in handling problem credits is preferred.
