My client, a hospitality brand, is seeking a Transactional Finance Manager to join their thriving London-based team. Responsibilities
- Manage, develop, and mentor the transactional finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth within the department.
- Maintain accurate records, control reports, and clean audit trails to support robust year-end financial audits.
- Oversee all purchase invoices, overheads invoices, and expenses postings to guarantee timely and precise processing across the business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for transactional queries from both suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution.
- Develop and deliver monthly reporting on expense management, aged receivables, and overdue payables to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure finalisation of accounts payable and accounts receivable-related general ledger accounts in collaboration with the Financial Controller on a monthly basis.
- Provide valuable input into monthly cash flow forecasting processes as required by senior management.
- Prepare payment runs efficiently while supervising supplier statements, account customers, and bank reconciliations at month-end for accuracy.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for review with the Financial Controller each month to maintain financial integrity.
- Assist in continuously improving the controls environment by identifying opportunities for process enhancement alongside the Financial Controller.
The Ideal Candidate
- A technically strong approach with proven ability to drive process improvements through systems automation and efficiency initiatives is essential.
- A detail-oriented mindset combined with collaborative working style enables you to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Confidence in communicating complex financial information clearly allows you to influence senior stakeholders constructively.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills are preferred to manage data analysis tasks efficiently within the finance function.
- Experience using Sage accounting software would be advantageous but not mandatory for success in this role.
