An exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a rapidly expanding organisation based in Trafford Park. The role involves preparing subsidiary accounts for international operations and gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of financial and operational duties. The successful candidate will become an integral member of a knowledgeable finance team, supporting business growth across new markets.
Responsibilities
- Prepare full sets of accounts from end-to-end for multiple subsidiaries across Europe, including accruals, prepayments, tax calculations, fixed assets management, and lease accounting.
- Maintain detailed fixed asset registers for each group company to ensure accurate tracking and compliance.
- Conduct variance analysis of profit and loss statements and margin analysis of sales performance across entities.
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage balance sheet control accounts (e.g., PAYE, VAT, wages, stock).
- Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time for relevant jurisdictions.
- Oversee treasury activities including supplier payments, monitoring incoming payments, and maintaining cashflow forecasts.
- Manage statutory reporting deadlines across several countries by liaising with external advisors as required.
- Run payroll processes monthly, issue payslips, and resolve payroll queries promptly.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reporting and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations between the parent and subsidiaries in multiple currencies.
- Review aged accounts payable and receivable ledgers to maintain healthy working capital.
- Reconcile credit card transactions across departments and ensure expenses are correctly accounted for.
