The role involves processing end-to-end payroll for over 2,000 employees in line with HMRC legislation and company policies. Responsibilities include:
- Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, and contractual updates in collaboration with HR
- Handling statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and pensions auto-enrolment
- Responding to payroll queries with professionalism, discretion, and empathy
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring data confidentiality
- Producing payroll reports and supporting finance and management requirements
- Assisting with year-end activities such as P60s, P11Ds, and reconciliations
- Contributing to continuous improvement of payroll processes and team best practice
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, NI, statutory payments, and pensions
- Experience using payroll systems and confidence working with Excel
