Continue your in-house legal career working closely with the General Counsel of a prominent transport services organisation with global coverage. Work collaboratively with the broader business, advising on cross-border commercial, corporate and risk advisory matters. The position offers an exceptional salary, bonus and expansive benefits package, and hybrid working (two days in London).

Owned by private equity, the business has a fantastic leadership team and has experienced significant growth in the commercial sector in comparison to many competitors and has made critical acquisitions in recent years to boost the versatility of its services to the market. The company has state-of-the-art offices in the City and offers hybrid working alongside fantastic salaries and benefits packages.
A broad Senior Counsel position reporting into the General Counsel, as part of a well-respected team of lawyers, who collaborate as trusted advisors across the business. In a global remit, you will work on varied commercial and corporate transactional (including M&A), contracts and advisory matters. You will also advise on disputes in the first instance and advise on industry regulatory matters, including ABC and KYC matters. Collaborating with internal teams including operations, finance, HR and compliance, you will be seen as a safe pair of hands from a legal perspective.
This position will suit a qualified lawyer with proven corporate M&A and commercial contracts experience, with unrestricted working rights in the UK. The business is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. You will have qualified in England & Wales or another major common law jurisdiction, and have proven experience in the UK. While private practice training is preferred, you will need to have some measure of in-house experience. While experience in most industries will be considered, exposure to the likes of transport, logistics, energy, renewables, manufacturing or infrastructure will be interesting to the client. You will need c. 5-8 years of PQE as a guide, though the client will happily consider candidates with relevant experience outside this guidance level.
