The Senior Finance Manager will provide challenges for an individual who is seeking to consolidate and further their skills acquired in leading technical excellence and compliance across the EMEA Region. Working with the Finance Director and alongside other Finance professionals the core responsibilities of this role will include driving the month end process; preparing reporting packs; ensuring financial compliance and driving excellence.
You will lead and manage a team of five staff members, management of the month end process and review of management reporting for your region, consisting of 17 business units, as well as supporting the growth of the Workforce Consultancy division (WFC). Involvement in the review of the annual audit process will be required. The role is also responsible for and co-ordination of the annual budgeting process for your region.
The role provides support to all levels of management within the RS businesses. A key emphasis in delivering support to the business is imperative as well as a focus on driving continuous improvement.
The Senior Finance Manager must possess strong leadership and management skills along with the ability to mentor and provide support and guidance to the team. A high standard of attention to detail and time management skills are imperative and the utilization of their technical ability acquired through previous work experience and professional study is also required.
Responsibilities:
- You will lead the EMEA finance team and take overall day-to-day responsibility for the management of the EMEA team consisting of c.5, including line management responsibilities.
- Key Financial Control – alongside the Finance Director, you will ensure that an adequate financial control environment exists to address the key risks of the business. Where appropriate working alongside the Internal Audit function to maintain and improve internal controls;
- Lead the preparation of month end management accounts, in-line with group accounting policies; the monthly management reporting packs, Balance Sheet reconciliations (review and sign-off); and approve relevant entries to the General Ledger in D365 for RWO EMEA.
- Producing weekly forecasting report for RWO EMEA including updates for any new client wins, client losses, new client commercials, headcount changes and any other significant costs changes in the RWO EMEA business.
- Co-ordinating the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual UK reporting requirements.
- Preparation of monthly analysis for the Finance Director, CFO and two Regional Managing Directors.
- Co-ordinating the preparation of RWO EMEA ad hoc reporting as it arises from RS EMEA Management Team.
- Co-ordinating and contributing to the preparation of RWO annual budgets across clients and countries.
- Review and oversight of all tax compliance requirements, including the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual returns for RWO EMEA.
- Lead and review in Year End Audit for RWO EMEA.
- Management Accounts and MI Reporting – manage, review and ensure timeliness and accuracy of internal monthly management accounts production to Group deadlines.
- Working alongside the Finance Director to deliver finance system and improvement projects.
- Provision of financial data for use in prospective client bids.
- Active participant as a finance representative in RS EMEA Implementation of new wins and Leadership Team projects leading the discussions and decisions around finance matters such as invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Finance representative in RS EMEA CMT Monthly meetings providing finance updates to the RS EMEA CMT Team.
- Coordinating finance training for Operations team as need arises – new headcount, new wins. Training includes P&L, Flash & Budget training.
- Work with alongside heads of billing, payroll and credit control to deliver a seamless end-to-end process.
