An excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager to take ownership of QMS and QA across multiple sites in the UK and Europe. This critical role is at the heart of ensuring quality and compliance across a diverse range of products, taking ownership of QA and QMS across 4 sites in Europe. The role offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 p/a and an annual bonus of up to 20% - you’ll predominantly be based from their site in Trafford Park, however you can expect occasional travel (2-3 days a month) to one of three other key sites to offer support and guidance.
What you'll do:
- Implement, maintain and improve ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications for multiple sites internationally.
- Responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS) for all production sites.
- Plan, implement and drive internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure that all documentation is in place to ensure that raw material, semi-finished goods and finished goods are compliant with agreed specifications.
- Responsible for laboratory safety, team supervision, documentation methods, calibration.
- Support investigation into non-conforming products (internal manufacturing and at supplier’s).
- Ensure customer complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and implement corrective action processes.
- Provide escalation, weekly updates and reports to line manager and wider management as required.
- Take personal responsibility for the notification and tracking of quality activities and related database entry/data accuracy.
What you bring:
- Experience from working in a manufacturing or production environment with a background within a regulated setting such as Med Device, Pharma or Laboratory.
- Solid understanding and experience of ISO 9001; knowledge of other standards such as ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO13485 would also be advantageous.
- Experience conducting internal and external audits, demonstrating auditor training or qualifications.
- Engineering Degree or proven experience.
- Experience of working in a regulated manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience of working with Quality laboratories.
- Experience of working within an international context, or with multi-site responsibility.
- Experience of working with Class 1 and Class 2a (sterile) Medical devices is desirable.
