Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Product Control Associate to join a highly respected financial institution in London, supporting the success of global markets and treasury businesses.

What you\’ll do

  • Review, monitor, and analyse trading portfolios daily to ensure accuracy in financial reporting across equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, and XVA management businesses.
  • Provide clear explanations around daily profit and loss numbers, including detailed analysis of fluctuations and significant drivers for senior management reporting.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the relationship between reported figures in daily P&L statements and their impact on accounting records and balance sheets maintained by the accounting group.
  • Consolidate and review business commentary related to daily financial estimates for London entities, ensuring clarity and consistency in communications.
  • Contribute to the completion and accuracy of month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles by collaborating closely with finance colleagues.
  • Initiate thorough analyses aimed at recommending improvements that enhance business efficiency while supporting ongoing process enhancements.

What you bring

  • Educated to degree level with at least a 2.1 grade or equivalent qualification relevant to finance or economics.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience within the financial services industry, ideally with exposure to equity derivatives (structured notes, delta one products), interest rate derivatives, collateral management, XVA management or fixed income products.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA) is required; familiarity with Alteryx is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities that allow you to explain complex financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
