- The ideal Employment Associate will bring circa 4–8 years PQE in employment law from a leading national or regional practice.
- Strong technical expertise across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice.
- Experience supporting corporate transactions (desirable but not essential).
- A proactive approach, self-motivation, and enthusiasm for problem-solving.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- A collaborative attitude and a passion for working as part of a high-performing team.
- The ability to manage competing priorities effectively under pressure.
Your Role
- The successful Employment Associate will be part of a thriving team based in Nottingham, handling a varied workload that includes:
- Representing clients in complex employment tribunal litigation from start to finish.
- Providing day-to-day legal support to HR teams as a trusted advisor.
- Advising on key HR projects such as restructurings, redundancies, and TUPE transfers.
- Supporting corporate transactions by advising on employment-related aspects like due diligence and risk management.
- Acting on executive severances and drafting/negotiating settlement agreements.
- Supervising junior team members while collaborating with partners on high-value instructions.
- Contributing to business development initiatives to expand the client base and enhance market presence.
