Robert Walters is partnering with an international listed PLC to appoint a Group Financial Reporting Manager into a key role within its Group finance function based in Milton Keynes. The business is well-established with international operations across Europe and Asia, supplying major retailers globally.
This is a high-profile role within a PLC environment, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. The successful candidate will take ownership of Group consolidated reporting, PLC statutory accounts and the Group consolidation process, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and external auditors. The role offers an excellent blend of technical accounting, group reporting and continuous improvement within an international listed group.
Key Responsibilities- Ownership of annual and interim IFRS consolidated financial statements
- Planning, coordination and delivery of PLC statutory accounts
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS, UK Companies Act and regulatory disclosure requirements
- Administration, development and continuous improvement of the Group consolidation system
- Monthly consolidation of Group results and preparation of management reporting for senior leadership and the Board
- Review and challenge of Business Unit financial submissions
- Acting as a key contact for external and internal auditors
- Production of PLC monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and balance sheet control
- Support to treasury, banking compliance, budgeting, forecasting and group recharges
- Involvement in statutory filings, ONS reporting, PSA submissions, EBTs and P11Ds
- Contribution to ad hoc finance and cross‑functional projects
The right person:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in group consolidation and statutory reporting
- Solid technical IFRS knowledge, ideally within a listed or regulated environment
- Experience working within an international group
- Confident with consolidation and reporting systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at senior level
