Responsible for designing and deploying secure, compliant Azure platforms in highly regulated environments, aligned to NIST 800‑53 or similar standards. The role focuses on security‑by‑design implementation across core Azure services, networking, identity, and automation using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.

You will own the secure design and deployment of Azure services in environments governed by NIST 800‑53 (or ISO 27001, MITRE, SOC 2 similar standards), embedding “security by design” into everything you deliver. Partnering closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams, you will shape resilient platforms that meet strict regulatory requirements without slowing innovation.

What you will be doing:

  • Architecting and deploying Azure services (Application Gateway, WAF, Container Apps, Container Registries, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, SQL/Postgres, Databricks, Azure AI integrations) with security and compliance at the core.
  • Defining and enforcing guardrails using Azure Policy, Private Link, advanced networking, Entra ID, and managed identities to protect data and services end‑to‑end.
  • Building robust infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform, GitHub/GitHub Actions, SAST/DAST, and deployment pipelines to deliver secure, repeatable environments at scale.

What makes you stand out:

  • Deep hands‑on Azure experience in regulated environments, with a solid track record against NIST 800‑53 (or ISO 27001, Mitre, SOC 2 comparable frameworks).
  • Strong security mindset, comfortable partnering with security and GRC functions to translate requirements into clean, automated technical solutions.
  • Bonus points for experience with Azure Sentinel, log management, Azure Monitor, auditing, External Identities, Identity Governance, and the Azure Defender suite.

If you are a Senior Azure Engineer who lives and breathes secure cloud architecture and wants to influence how regulated organisations deliver on their cloud strategy, this environment will give you the autonomy, scale, and complexity you are looking for. Apply now to help build secure‑by‑design Azure platforms that genuinely move the needle for customers.
