I'm delighted to be partnered with a professional services firm based in Manchester City Centre as they seek an Assistant Accountant to join their award-winning finance team on a temporary basis. This role will support and report into the Senior Financial Accountant and will be part of a growing finance team of 5. The role will focus on day-to-day accounting activities, supporting the smooth running of finance operations and maintaining accurate financial records. You will be here for a minimum of 3 months - with likelihood of extension very high.
Key Duties
- Supporting and reporting into the senior team with day-to-day accounting tasks and finance processes.
- Liaising regularly with partners and colleagues to resolve queries and provide finance support.
- Processing a high volume of transactions accurately.
- Assisting with month-end processes.
- Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Supporting in the preparation for audit.
- Supporting the finance team with all ad-hoc needs.
About You
- Working towards an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
- A minimum of 3 year's experience in a similar role - working up to month-end processes.
- A driven and professional individual with great verbal and written skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
