A leading international bank is looking for an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join its business on an initial 6‐month contract. You will sit in the second line, working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen the non‐financial risk and control environment across front‐to‐back Wealth processes.
The role
- Deliver and maintain operational risk assessments (RCSAs), including review of key controls and supporting documentation.
- Support the end‐to‐end management of operational risk events: logging, root cause analysis, agreed actions and ongoing tracking.
- Review and challenge risk and control information uploaded into the risk system of record, ensuring data quality and consistency of approach.
- Contribute to regular risk reporting and MI, highlighting emerging themes and issues for escalation to senior management.
- Work with first line teams to embed the operational risk framework and related policies across the Wealth Management business.
About you
- Strong experience in operational risk, risk & control or internal audit within banking or wider financial services, ideally with Wealth, Private Banking or Markets exposure.
- Proven track record of running or overseeing RCSAs, incident / loss event management, and control assessment activity.
- Comfortable using risk / GRC tools (e.g. Archer, OpenPages or similar) as well as Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and work independently in a fast‐moving environment.
