What you\’ll do:
As a Legal Cashier, you will become an integral member of the finance function, responsible for managing essential day-to-day financial activities that underpin the firm\’s success. Your role will involve reconciling client accounts, posting disbursements, handling suspense accounts, processing receipts and payments, raising cheques, and collaborating with colleagues across departments to resolve queries efficiently. You will also be entrusted with allocating incoming cheques through the case management system and performing daily postings in Klyant. Working closely with your team, you will help ensure that all financial deliverables are met while supporting wider projects led by the Financial Controller.
* Perform daily reconciliations of client accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Post regular disbursements efficiently while maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes.
* Reconcile suspense accounts and maintain effective control over all related transactions.
* Accurately post receipts and payments for client accounts using established systems and procedures.
* Raise payments and cheques promptly, ensuring all documentation is complete and correct.
* Collaborate closely with file handling departments to resolve any queries related to client accounts in a timely manner.
* Allocate incoming cheques within the case management system to guarantee seamless processing.
* Complete daily postings in the accounts system (Klyant), ensuring all entries are up-to-date and accurate.
* Work alongside the finance team to achieve collective deliverables and support overall departmental goals.
