This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of inbound supply chain and purchasing activities. You’ll oversee materials planning, inbound logistics, and supplier performance, working collaboratively across teams to support production, marketing, and broader business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Run weekly and monthly materials planning cycles, raising purchase orders to meet production and demand needs.
- Manage the inbound order book, including overseas containerised sea freight, in partnership with global freight forwarders.
- Investigate and resolve external material non-conformances, liaising with Supplier Quality and internal teams to drive solutions.
- Coordinate artwork flow between Marketing and packaging suppliers to ensure timely delivery of packaging materials.
- Monitor and replenish stock across external warehouses, including 3PL partners and their distribution network.
- Track and report supply chain KPIs, producing weekly stock, availability, and performance reports.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams.
- A proactive problem-solver with experience addressing and resolving quality, supply, or service issues.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy when handling purchase orders, supplier data, and shipping documentation.
- Advanced IT proficiency, including ERP systems (Business Central preferred) and strong Excel skills.
- Previous experience in supply chain, purchasing, or logistics, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of international shipping, 3PL management, and supplier coordination (highly advantageous).
- Strong numerical ability with experience producing stock reports and KPI-based performance metrics.
