An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished finance leader to take on a pivotal role at the heart of a forward-thinking organisation in Leicestershire. You will be entrusted with both operational excellence and a significant transformation mandate, shaping the future of the finance function within a collaborative environment. This position offers the chance to lead a talented team and drive meaningful change through technology and automation!
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with senior management including the CFO to build trust through delivery and foster influence in a peer-based leadership model.
- Take responsibility for delivering high-quality outputs across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and operational tax processes while ensuring stability from day one.
- Lead and nurture a team of 10 people across three areas, maximising collaboration and shared success.
- Own treasury operations including cash visibility, forecasting, banking relationships and manage the Group’s debt facility as primary contact.
- Oversee intercompany accounting and transfer pricing processes across multiple entities within the Group.
- Coordinate tax strategy and compliance across territories by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisers to support international scaling.
- Design governance for month-end close process by setting timetables and coordinating delivery across Finance Operations, FP&A and Group Reporting.
What you bring:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with at least five years’ post-qualification experience ideally gained through practice training within high-growth environments.
- Proven hands-on experience running financial operations including treasury management in multi-currency, multi-entity settings.
- Demonstrable track record introducing or enhancing technology use within finance functions such as automation tools or reporting platforms.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead teams through influence, example-setting and empathetic communication.
- Highly comfortable working with data-driven processes while building trust among senior stakeholders and finance teams alike.
- Familiarity with data platforms and reporting tools like Power BI enhances your ability to leverage existing systems effectively.
- Exposure to investor-backed or private equity-backed businesses is highly desirable for understanding complex stakeholder requirements.
