An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a senior finance leadership role combining hands-on operational ownership with ongoing, technology-led improvement. You’ll run core finance operations while continuously evolving processes, systems and controls to make finance faster, smarter and more scalable. This is a long-term role for someone who wants to improve what they own, not run stand-alone transformation programmes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Embedded Finance Transformation
- Drive ongoing improvements to month-end close, controls, data quality and automation
- Own and evolve the internal control framework so it remains robust, scalable and fit for growth
- Maximise the use of existing finance systems and tools – focusing on practical adoption and impact, not transformation for its own sake
- Lead or embed enhancements such as:
- Month-end close optimisation (pace, visibility, accountability)
- Automation of manual processes
- Better use of data and reporting tools
- Lead and develop a finance operations team in a delivery-led environment
- Ensure finance runs smoothly from day one, while continuously improving quality, consistency and resilience
- Build credibility through hands-on leadership and delivery, not layers of management
What You’ll Bring
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong experience leading finance operations in a multi-national environment
- Proven track record of improving & enhancing finance processes through technology, automation and better ways of working. It’s vital you can evidence embedded tech-led transformation
- Hands-on leadership experience, with evidence of developing teams and owning outcomes long-term
- Comfortable balancing BAU accountability with continuous improvement rather than separate transformation projects
- Strong systems mindset, with the ability to extract real value from finance technology
- Pragmatic, delivery-oriented and motivated by impact rather than title or short-term assignments
On offer is circa £90,000 – £100,000 per annum, plus a very lucrative bonus scheme and comprehensive benefits package that includes an enhanced pension scheme, private medical & multiple other perks. Hybrid working: 2-3 days on site (flexible).
