An exciting opportunity for a Lead FX Engineer – Manager to take ownership of a critical high-volume FX Deal Capture platform. This role involves managing a global team while providing technical leadership and driving the modernization of the platform. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the system meets stringent performance, reliability, and availability requirements. London based; 3-4 days per week in office.

- Lead and manage the FX Deal Capture platform and its delivery team, providing technical leadership and driving modernization to meet performance, reliability, and availability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the FX Deal Capture team, ensuring successful execution of projects within allocated budgets and deadlines.
- Define objectives, project milestones, and completion timelines while assessing potential risks.
- Architect and execute the modernization of the FX booking platform, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Drive software engineering best practices and ensure high-quality, performant, and reliable systems.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including business users and IT teams, to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Provide strategic technology leadership and contribute to broader departmental technology strategy.
- Act as the primary point of contact between IT and business teams for the FX Deal Capture platform.
Key Requirements
- Strong software engineering expertise with a focus on .NET and C#.
- Experience with C++ is beneficial.
- Proven experience in high-volume transactional systems such as FX, equities, or similar financial transaction platforms.
- Ability to design systems with sub-second response times, capable of handling large trade volumes and real-time booking updates.
- Understanding of low-latency, high-performance system architecture.
- Experience working with offshore development teams.
- Strong grasp of risk management, trade lifecycle, and position management.
- A proven leader with experience managing global teams, including business analysts, testers, and developers.
