What you’ll do:

As a Finance Manager, your role will be integral to the financial health of our client\’s organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing junior staff members, spearheading key financial processes such as monthly management accounts preparation, annual budgeting, and strategic planning. Your expertise will also be crucial in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices. Additionally, you will contribute towards process improvement initiatives and growth analysis, providing valuable insights that can drive business success.

  • Oversee and mentor two Junior Assistant Management Accountants as they progress in their roles.
  • Spearhead the monthly management accounts process, including preparing P & L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, complete with variance analysis and insightful commentary.
  • Support the annual budgeting and strategic planning processes to ensure company-wide alignment.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate on year‑end statutory accounts, audit preparation, and handling tax queries.
  • Regularly assess and optimise accounting practices, enhancing efficiency across finance functions.
  • Deliver financial analyses to support business growth, exploring ways to boost profitability and ensure sustainable progress.
  • Assist in evaluating investment opportunities by developing comprehensive business cases for management.
  • Foster a learning‑oriented team culture, offering hands‑on guidance and training to finance colleagues.
