Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a PE backed business where you will be reporting to the MD and the board, you will be an integral member of the Senior Management Team ensuring the business is able to thrive in a changing environment whilst maintaining strong financial, commercial, and operational controls.
The role offers a competitive salary of £80,000 – £100,000 plus bonus and is based in Hertfordshire with flexible working options.

What you\’ll do:
As a Finance Director, your primary responsibility will be to steer the financial direction of the company. You will develop strategic financial plans that align with business goals, lead a dedicated finance team, and manage budgets effectively. Your expertise in forecasting will be crucial in preparing for economic trends and business performance. You will also play a pivotal role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and streamlining operations to maximise profitability. Furthermore, you will be tasked with improving financial systems and processes to increase efficiency while ensuring accurate reporting. Lastly, you will oversee risk management processes and ensure compliance with UK financial regulations.
- Influencing business strategy through data led decisions making.
- Leading the finance function
- Management of the business planning cycle including budgets and forecasting.
- Managing monthly performance and KPI reporting to the Board and Leadership team
- Defining and owning the investment business case process, budget requirements and risk profile
- Implementing and maintaining financial and operational policies including development of controls and compliance.
- Support leadership and Sales teams on pricing strategy, pipeline management, resources allocation and margin analysis.
- Building an excellent operating model to support growth and to assess risks and opportunities.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Director role is a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience leading a finance function. You should have experience working in a similar business environment. Your background should demonstrate a proven track record in senior financial-management roles where you have developed and implemented creative financial management strategies.
