Global business in the entertainment industry requires an Employment Lawyer to cover a period of maternity leave for 10-12 months. The role is hybrid based in the company’s UK headquarters in Surrey – 3 days per week in the office (Tue/Wed/Thu). Start Date: early April. Location: Surrey, UK.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary employment counsel for operations in Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, and Romania, and ad hoc support in the UK, Ireland, and Switzerland.
- Manage day-to-day employment law matters: hiring; performance management and termination; wage and hour rules; disability accommodation; harassment, discrimination and bullying; contingent worker issues; investigations and related litigation.
- Support policy reviews and ensure global consistency of policies across relevant territories; manage investigations and complex employment issues.
Requirements
- Experience in employment law for Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, and/or Romania (experience in 1-2 of these territories required).
- Right to work in the UK; sponsorship cannot be provided.
- Hybrid role with in-office presence required (3 days per week).
- Experience at mid-management level or equivalent in the legal/employment field.
