Our client, a world-leading organisation in the mining sector, is seeking a Company Secretarial Assistant/Corporate Paralegal in a newly created role. This position offers an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with support towards professional qualifications. The organisation operates globally with a focus on sustainability, community development and innovation. This role reports to the Deputy Company Secretary and sits within a Company Secretarial team of four; you may provide support to Legal and Finance functions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain corporate governance documents, databases, and statutory registers (including updates to Diligent Entities global database).
- Maintain/monitor inter-company loans, powers of attorney, charges, and trade mark schedules.
- Manage Companies House filings including confirmation statements, membership appointments and terminations.
- Arrange notarisation and legalisation of documents.
- Due diligence activities including KYC and AML.
- Provide administrative support as required.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week in the London-based office.
Qualifications and attributes:
- 1+ years of prior experience in a Corporate Governance or Legal environment.
- Ambitious, a team player, and comfortable with ambiguity.
