Robert Walters is partnering with a well-established FMCG food manufacturer to appoint a site-based Quality Manager. The role owns Food Safety, Legality and Quality systems and leads the QA & Hygiene teams for a high-volume operation producing ambient, shelf-stable products.

Location: East Midlands

Salary: Up to £45,000 + benefits

Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:00 (40 hrs)

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and continuously improve Food Safety, Quality & Legality across the site
  • Act as HACCP lead; maintain and evolve HACCP plans
  • Lead, coach and performance-manage the QA & Hygiene teams
  • Ensure audit readiness for customers and third parties; front audits confidently
  • Drive RCA and close-out for non-conformances, audit actions and complaints
  • Deliver against KPIs and deadlines; embed a strong food safety & quality culture

What We’re Looking For:

  • FMCG food manufacturing background (ideally ambient / shelf-stable)
  • Proven leadership of site QA & Hygiene teams
  • Hands-on ownership of QMS, Food Safety, Legality & Quality systems
  • HACCP Level 3+ and Food Hygiene Level 3+
  • Solid root cause analysis capability
  • Internal audit training (advantageous)

Package:

  • Salary: Up to £45,000
  • Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
  • Pension: 4% employee / 4% employer
