Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Climate Risk Analytics Manager to lead their team in quantifying climate change-related risks. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team of senior analytics managers, contributing significantly to the development, validation, and maintenance of globally consistent Climate risk models.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the development, validation, and maintenance of globally consistent Climate risk models
  • Be accountable for Global methodology frameworks, development, and assessment procedures for Climate risk
  • Proactively manage projects and resources
  • Act as a subject matter expert with respect to climate risk
  • Communicate regularly with the regulator, Trading Desks and wider teams across Traded Risk
  • Write good quality and comprehensive documentation

What you bring:

  • The ideal candidate brings a wealth of relevant experience in a quantitative or technical field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research or Computer Science
  • Proven experience in Climate Science modelling
  • Deep knowledge of Trading Book Market Risk Models and Analytics
  • Understanding of trading business and derivative products
  • Proficiency in programming particularly in Python
  • Knowledge of Stress Testing or Economic Capital is advantageous
