This is a great opportunity to lead a small team in a transactional finance function, based in Central London on a hybrid working basis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the processes for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Review and approve payment proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide support in resolving invoice-related queries, including those related to commissions and other matters.
  • Ensure all invoices, recharges, and payments are processed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Monitor and review outstanding balances to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Assist with month-end financial close activities.
  • Review ledger entries to maintain accuracy and consistency in financial records.
  • Manage accruals for commissions and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Handle accruals, prepayments, and other month-end adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets in line with organizational policies.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare for audits by organizing documentation and responding to audit requests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data required for commission calculations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the team to prepare, verify, and distribute commission statements.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with management.
  • Process contractor payments accurately and on time.
  • Conduct regular reviews of commission payments to identify any errors or overpayments.
  • Provide assistance to senior finance personnel as needed for various tasks or projects.
  • Hold regular check-ins with team members to provide updates, address concerns, and offer support.
  • Assist management with ad hoc reporting requirements or special projects.
