A leading Global Asset Management Firm is seeking an experienced Manual QA Analyst to support a major transformation programme. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on data testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), working closely with stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery across complex change initiatives.
Location: London (Hybrid)
Rate: £600 per day
Department: Technology – Quality Assurance
Reporting to: Head of Testing
Responsibilities
- Perform test analysis, design, execution, and defect management across complex projects
- Lead and own pre-UAT testing, ensuring all requirements are validated and traceable
- Support and guide business users during UAT, including defect triage and resolution
- Review requirements to ensure clarity, testability, and alignment to business outcomes
- Maintain test cases, execution evidence, and defect tracking in JIRA
- Produce clear test progress, defect, and end-of-phase reporting
- Participate in SIT activities alongside technology teams
- Identify risks, escalate issues appropriately, and contribute to project sign-off decisions
Core QA Skills
- Strong manual testing experience (test planning, design, execution, documentation)
- End-to-end testing with a solid understanding of business processes
- Requirements-to-test traceability and regression test suite creation
- UAT support and stakeholder-facing testing
- Risk and defect management
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel (formulas, analysis)
- JIRA administration, execution management, and reporting
- Data warehouse testing experience
- Experience with regression testing
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (beneficial, not mandatory)
Data & Platform Experience
- Data acquisition, transformation, and data quality validation
- Data presentation and reporting
- Experience with Tableau or other BI/visualisation tools
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Databricks or SQL Server
Experience & Capabilities
- 5–7 years’ experience as a QA/Test Analyst in financial services
- Solid understanding of asset management and Middle Office
