You will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely reconciliations, settlement accuracy, risk oversight, and regulatory reporting, all while connecting key departments such as Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Compliance. What you’ll do:

  • Identify and resolve reconciliation breaks between exchanges, wallets, clients, banks, and accounting systems with precision and timeliness to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Work closely with Dealers, Operations teams, and Finance professionals to uncover process improvements and automation opportunities that enhance efficiency across the business.
  • Manage risk processes including limit monitoring, margin requirements, margin calls, and exposure analysis to maintain robust risk oversight.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal risk policies as well as external regulatory standards through diligent monitoring and reporting.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures that guarantee compliance with EMIR, CFTC/SDR, ISDA, and other relevant regulations affecting the business.
  • Collaborate effectively with Technology, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment of operational objectives.
  • Support the Head of Middle Office in building out new team structures and workflows that drive world-class client service delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing insights on best practices in trade lifecycle management and regulatory reporting.
  • Participate actively in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing settlement processes and mitigating operational risks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliations, settlements, risk assessments, and compliance activities for audit readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within Middle Office or Operations in FS is essential for understanding complex workflows.
  • A strong grasp of financial instruments - including spot trades, futures contracts, options and their associated trade flows is required for effective reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in trade lifecycle management ensures smooth settlement processes from initiation through completion.
  • Proven ability to manage reconciliation tasks accurately between exchanges, wallets, clients’ accounts, banks, and accounting systems is vital for operational success.
  • Experience developing or implementing procedures for regulatory reporting under frameworks such as EMIR, CFTC/SDR or ISDA is highly desirable.
  • A continuous improvement mindset enables you to identify areas for process optimisation or automation within daily operations.
  • Comfort working within fast-paced environments allows you to adapt quickly to changing priorities without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills facilitate effective collaboration with Dealers, Operations staff, Finance teams as well as Technology and Compliance stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical abilities support thorough risk management activities including limit monitoring and exposure analysis.
  • Understanding of crypto products or digital asset markets would be advantageous but not mandatory.
