A leading global trading organisation is transforming its equities execution platform to support greater scale, flexibility, and execution choice. As part of this journey, we are looking for a senior OMS/EMS specialist with deep Fidessa expertise to join a high-impact Trading Technology team.
Location: London | Onsite
Rate: £700–800 per day (PAYE)
Duration: 6 months initially
You will lead the integration between an in-house Order Management System and Fidessa EMS, while also contributing to the strategic move toward a modern, multi-EMS / headless EMS architecture. This role sits close to the front office and plays a critical part in shaping how equities are executed across global markets.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver the integration between the internal OMS and Fidessa EMS, covering order entry, executions, and allocations
- Define and implement FIX connectivity (sessions, order routing, execution reports, drop copies)
- Partner with Fidessa and internal engineering teams to align APIs, feeds, and messaging models
- Own and optimise the end-to-end trade lifecycle from order creation through booking and reporting
- Work closely with Trading, Product, and Risk/Compliance to ensure robust controls and data integrity
- Troubleshoot complex OMS–EMS issues including latency, sequencing, and reconciliation
- Contribute to architecture and POCs for a scalable, fault-tolerant multi-EMS / headless EMS model
- Produce clear interface documentation and operational runbooks
- 10+ years in equities trading technology within large buy-side or sell-side environments
- Strong hands‑on experience integrating Fidessa with custom or vendor OMS platforms
- Deep understanding of high‑touch, low‑touch, and algo trading workflows
- Solid knowledge of global market structure, order types, and execution strategies
- End‑to‑end understanding of the trade lifecycle, including allocations, booking, and regulatory reporting
