Compliance Manager - Marketing and Distribution for a leading global investor, with a long-standing history in asset management, retirement, and protection solutions. Salary up to £100,000 for a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities
- Providing written and verbal compliance advice to Marketing and Distribution teams on the promotion and distribution of UK collective and pension funds.
- Reviewing marketing materials and advising on applicable marketing and disclosure requirements for UK funds.
- Participating in regulatory and business-led projects, including assessing regulatory requirements, attending working groups, and preparing compliance reports.
- Advising on product development, management, and distribution to ensure fair customer outcomes, regulatory compliance, and alignment with conduct risk appetite.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments and supporting responses to consultations and regulatory change initiatives.
- Escalating and reporting relevant matters to product providers and attending associated governance meetings.
- Building strong working relationships with business areas and risk/compliance teams to coordinate responses to regulatory developments impacting UK funds.
- Supporting the Chief Compliance Officer and wider compliance team through tool development, promoting a strong compliance culture, and providing ad-hoc support as required.
Skills and experience
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the regulatory framework applying to UK UCITS and AIF product providers.
- Good knowledge of UK financial promotion and marketing rules, guidance, and market practice.
- Experience analysing emerging regulatory risks and advising on their business impact.
- Practical knowledge of FCA rules and their real-world application.
- A solid understanding of UK investment products and fund management activities.
- Proven experience interpreting regulatory requirements and developing compliant, commercially pragmatic solutions.
