I'm looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team within a fast growing and evolving business. The role will be based on a major Manufacturing facility, and you'll be involved in maintaining and improving lifting equipment, responding to breakdowns, and supporting installation and improvement projects.
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 6 off, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including sensors, limit switches, motors, and brakes.
- Carry out mechanical tasks such as replacing bearings, wheels, and ropes.
- Support installation and improvement projects.
- Adhere to health and safety standards and site procedures.
Qualifications
- Time-served Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 with a minimum of 3 years’ on-site experience.
- Electrical fault-finding skills; basic PLC/Inverter knowledge advantageous.
- Comfortable working at height and physically capable.
- Familiarity with safe systems of work (Risk Assessments, Permits, Isolations).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with cranes or other lifting equipment (training provided if not).
- Bench fitting and welding skills.
