We are recruiting on behalf of a leading property consultancy for an Assistant Accountant to join their Bristol based team. This is your chance to work with experienced professionals, support a diverse portfolio of clients, and develop your technical skills in client accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Processing financial transactions and preparing accounts up to trial balance.
- Completing bank reconciliations, managing tenancy deposit accounts, and processing rent demands.
- Preparing VAT returns and verifying new suppliers for payment runs.
- Liaising with agents to manage debtors/creditors and handling client queries professionally.
- Supporting the implementation of effective systems and processes while maintaining financial controls.
Qualifications:
- AAT qualified (or studying) or experienced bookkeeper with strong accounting knowledge.
- Confident using accounting software (Xero experience desirable) and proficient in Excel.
- Strong numerical, reconciliation, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player who can build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with senior internal leaders.
