A leading provider of property management services is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their finance and operations department in a fully remote capacity. What you\'ll do:

As a Bookkeeper within this respected property management organisation, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations that underpin the company’s ability to support its clients effectively. Your role will involve processing invoices, reconciling bank accounts—including those involving multiple currencies—and maintaining accurate ledgers for both payables and receivables. You will also play an important part in preparing VAT returns, supporting month-end processes such as journal postings and accruals, and keeping meticulous records through well-organised filing systems.

* Process sales invoices and purchase invoices efficiently, ensuring all payments and receipts are managed accurately and on time.

* Perform daily or weekly bank reconciliations, including handling multicurrency transactions when required, to maintain precise financial records.

* Maintain detailed accounts payable and receivable sub-ledgers, ensuring all entries are current and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

* Reconcile supplier statements regularly, investigating and resolving any invoice differences or issues that arise.

* Assist with VAT preparation and submission schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.

* Support month-end close activities by posting journals, preparing accruals, prepayments, and other necessary adjustments.

* Keep digital and paper filing systems organised so that all financial documentation is easily accessible for audits or reviews.

* Collaborate closely with the Managing Director, external accountants, and other internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations across departments.

* Assist with ad hoc tasks such as conducting customer credit checks, preparing expense reports, and logging benefits-in-kind items as needed.

What you bring:

To excel as a Bookkeeper in this role, you will bring proven experience from previous positions where you have managed key aspects of finance administration. Your background should include hands-on use of accounting software—such as Xero or QuickBooks—and demonstrate your comfort with complex reconciliations. You possess strong numerical skills complemented by an eye for detail that ensures every transaction is recorded correctly. Your proficiency in Excel allows you to manipulate data efficiently for reporting purposes.

* Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or finance administration roles for at least two years, ideally within a property or service-based environment.

* Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks—or similar platforms—allowing you to manage transactions efficiently.

* Strong numerical aptitude paired with exceptional attention to detail ensures accuracy in all aspects of financial record-keeping.

* Comfortable performing reconciliations of bank accounts (including multicurrency) as well as supporting month-end closing activities.

* Good command of Microsoft Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs enhances your ability to analyse data effectively.
